Norfolk, Virginia, Aug. 09, 2017 -- The Department of the Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, released on Wednesday, August 9 a combined synopsis/solicitation in which it outlined its plans to secure a certified small business contractor to provide a five-day defensive/evasive driving course.
The contractor who receives the contract must provide a five-day defensive/evasive driving course and a facility where the course can take place. The course must accommodate up to 30 students from October 30 October through November 30. The contractor must provide an instructor to student ratio at a minimum of 1:3 for driving instruction and a minimum of 2:40 for classroom instruction.
The training facility must be within 250 miles of Fort Story, Virginia Beach, 23459.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 611699 and the small business size standard is $11 million.
Interested and capable contractors must respond by no later than 4 p.m. EST on August 18 with the following information:
- CAGE Code
- DUNS number
- Tax Identification Number (TIN)
