National Donut Day offers delightful deals and freebies from top brands like Dunkin', Krispy Kreme, and Tim Hortons. Celebrate with your favorite treats!
According to Quartz, the celebration has a lengthy history. It was founded in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army to commemorate the Lassies, who offered donuts to soldiers stocking up on commodities during World War I.
The event takes place on the first Friday of June every year, but a second one in November offers a smaller selection of deals. Furthermore, while free doughnuts and offers may entice you, businesses also rely on you to purchase other products.
The pastry holiday provides a unique chance for brands like Krispy Kreme, Dunkin' Donuts, and 7-Eleven to connect with customers.
Here is a list of locations that provide some really exciting offers:
Krispy Kreme
In its stores, Krispy Kreme is giving away a free doughnut of your choice with no purchase required; however, doughnuts from the Dolly Parton collection are not included in this promotion. On Friday, you can grab a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts for just $2 if you buy a dozen.
Dunkin'
Dunkin' Donuts has announced that while supplies last, customers who purchase any beverage will receive a free classic donut of their choice.
Tim Hortons
Members of Tim Hortons' Tims Rewards program are eligible to receive a free doughnut with the purchase of any beverage on Friday.
7-Eleven
A glazed doughnut will be available for one dollar on Friday at 7-Eleven convenience stores, as well as Speedway and Stripes locations, according to a statement sent to Axios by 7-Eleven.
Duck Donuts
Donuts with cinnamon sugar are being given away for free at Duck Donuts. No purchase is required, according to the doughnut store. Duck Donuts has one hundred stores around the United States.
Shipley Do-Nuts
