“Narcos” season 4 is coming very soon and it seems that as its release date approaches, more and more people and broadcast networks are expressing their interest in the series.
According to Media Play News, the anticipation for “Narcos” season 4 is much higher compared to the previous seasons. Based on Parrot Analytics’ most recent survey, the demand for “Narcos” season 4, dubbed “Narcos: Mexico” in the U.S., has been going up as its air date comes closer. It is stated that the demand is 318 percent greater.
“We have every indication that the upcoming ‘Narcos: Mexico’ will be the most popular yet,” Courtney Williams, European regional director for Parrot Analytics, opined. “The release of the trailer for the new season served to super-charge interest and we have seen a considerable spike in demand.”
Probably, the new location and plot of “Narcos” season 4 contributed to the increased interest in the series, thus the demand for it went up as well. The first three seasons featured Colombia as setting and featured Pablo Escobar as well as the Cali Cartel.
“Narcos” season 4 will be set in Mexico and it will delve into the origins of the present drug cartels. It will show how the drug traders built their business and expanded to become some of the most prosperous illegal trades in the world.
The new setting will also present new cast members who will lead the drama. Michael Peña (Kiki Camarena) and Diego Luna (Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo) are going to play the Guadalajara cartel leader and undercover DEA agent, respectively.
Some of the stars who were confirmed to support them in “Narcos” season 4 include Aaron Staton (Butch Sears), Alejandro Edda, Alfonso Dosal (Benjamin Arellano Felix), Alyssa Diaz (Mika Camarena), Ernesto Alterio (Salvador Osuna Nava), Clark Freeman (Ed Heath) and Fermín Martinez.
Meanwhile, “Narcos” season 4 was originally thought to be debuting in September but Netflix confirmed a different date. The Independent reported that it will drop on Nov. 16 and there will be 10 episodes in all.
