“NCIS” Season 16 has finally started and the team finally rescued director Vance (Rocky Carroll) from Nigel Hakim (Pej Vahdat). It turns out that the director wasn’t smuggled out of the U.S. but was actually still in the country forced to do Hakim’s bidding, Express reported.
Some fans first speculated that Vance is going to be killed off in “NCIS” Season 16 as he isn’t an important piece in the overall plot of the police procedural drama. But that proved to be inaccurate as the writers are still keeping the character around.
The next episode of “NCIS” Season 16 is going to have the team investigate a seemingly peaceful neighborhood where a “disgusting” murder occurred. CBS released a promo trailer for it showing the team trying to uncover what mystery the neighborhood holds. Indeed, the lines of McGee (Sean Murray) are a pretty telling sign that something isn’t quite right in the suburban area.
“Nothing creepy about this at all,” McGee said as they try to map out the neighborhood. As for the murder, it involves a Navy lieutenant who was killed in his bathtub. While the promo for “NCIS” Season 16’s next episode doesn’t reveal the state of the corpse, it’s safe to say that it has decomposed to a nasty condition.
But this gag-inducing body isn’t fazing newcomer Kasie Hanes (Diona Reasonover). In fact, she seems excited to dig in as to how exactly the murder occurred. It can be recalled that Kasie replaced Abby (Pauley Perrette) as the team’s forensic expert after Perrette decided to leave the police procedural drama after starring in it for 15 years.
It’s still unclear what prompted Perrette’s decision but she expressed her gratitude to the cast and crew of the show, thanking them for including her in the series’s successful journey. As such, Kasie is now the team’s go-to expert in analyzing evidence. And with this new horrendous corpse now in “NCIS” Season 16, she certainly has her work cut out for her. The next episode is titled “Love Thy Neighbor” and is scheduled to air on Oct. 2.
