The success of “My Hero Academia: Two Heroes” cemented the property’s reputation for being able to provide quality entertainment to audiences of all kinds. After all, it did quite well in the west as it did in Japan, a feat that very few other anime movies or shows can claim. Recently, it was announced that “My Hero Academia” Movie 2 is in the works and that a winter premiere is expected.
This particular tidbit is due to a magazine cover supposedly leaking details about the movie, Comic Book points outs. When translated, the texts basically provide some context about the upcoming “My Hero Academia” Movie 2. While specific details might still be scarce, it at least tells fans when the film might be coming out.
“My Hero Academia, completely new movie is in the works,” the text reads. “Coming back to the big screen! Out this winter!! An all new original story, what will it be about? Wait for more info soon!”
That may not be a lot of useful information, but it is definitely enough to get the internet excited. The prospect of seeing a “My Hero Academia” Movie 2 on the big screen is sending chills down the spines of fans. After all, the first flick did plenty to reinforce the point that “My Hero Academia” is a phenomenon for a reason.
While it would have been nice to get more specifics from the announcement, there are some clues here and there to work with. For example, it would appear that the creator of the property had already gotten more insight into “My Hero Academia” Movie 2. He then sketched a feature piece that involved Bakugo and Midoriya.
Could this mean that the next film will feature these two as the main driving forces behind “My Hero Academia” Movie 2? Fans will simply have to wait to get more information.
