“Monster Hunter Rise” will be released on Nintendo Switch in a couple of weeks. Before the game’s full version goes live, Capcom is letting fans try out the second version of the game’s demo for free.
‘Monster Hunter Rise’ second demo goes live
The “Monster Hunter Rise” second demo is live as of this writing. And it has to be one of the most anticipated events among Nintendo Switch fans this week, considering how successful the first demo was back in January.
It should be noted, though, that the method of downloading the “Monster Hunter Rise” second demo will be different for fans who are just trying the game now from those who participated in the first trial. Players who are getting the demo for the first time can do so by visiting the game’s official page on the Nintendo eShop.
On the right side of the screen below the title and its release date is a “Download demo” button. While the “Monster Hunter Rise” second demo is free, fans will have to create a Nintendo account. It is best to visit the eShop through the Switch device and initiate the download from the console. Luckily, it will not require too much storage space as players, as the download size is reportedly less than 2GB.
Fans who were able to join the month-long demo earlier this year and still have it saved on their Switch console do not have to download the entire game. They can open their copy of the previous demo, and they will be asked to download the second “Monster Hunter Rise” free trial as an update, which would need just 0.2GB of memory.
What’s included in the second ‘Monster Hunter Rise’ demo
The “Monster Hunter Rise” second demo will let fans play its multiplayer mode locally and online, along with a new hunting quest. But the highlight of this trial phase is the addition of the new monster named Magnamalo.
Nintendo also notes, “The demo save data will unlock an item booster pack in the full game.” That bundle will include 20 Mega Potions, 5 Pitfall Traps, 10 Energy Drinks, 5 Demondrugs, and 5 Armorskins. Players can get more free items when they decide to pre-order “Monster Hunter Rise” for $59.99. The exclusive perks include a Palamute Retriever Costume layered armor, Palico Forest Cat Costume layered armor, and Novice Talisman promised to offer some advantages in the early stages of the game.
This round of trial will not be as long as the first one, and for a good reason. “Monster Hunter Rise” will be released in full on March 26 on Nintendo Switch, while a PC port is planned to launch in 2022.
