Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton are not together anymore but news about them continues. The latest story about the ex-couple is that “The House That Built Me” singer is still hurting over her divorce with ex-husband.
It is said that Miranda Lambert has been scarred by the bitter separation and this event in her life will forever be etched in her heart and mind. She has been trying to get over the heartache but it is difficult for her, In Touch Weekly reported.
“Even though it’s been more than three years now, Miranda and Blake’s divorce feud is still going strong – and no one is safe,” a source supposedly told In Touch.
The insider added that Miranda Lambert has been resorting to alcohol in order to conceal her sadness. It was further alleged that the singer even drank two large tumblers of mixed vodka during her performance at Nashville’s CMA Theater because she was hurting.
Is Miranda Lambert really not over Blake Shelton yet? The source said so.
“Miranda still wants to get back at Blake for the cruel way he broke her heart, drove her out of his life, and then shoved his new romance with Gwen Stefani in her face,” she told the magazine.
Now, if this is true, then Miranda would really be sad to know that her ex-husband supposedly intentionally skipped the 2018 CMT Artists of the Year Awards in order to avoid seeing or bumping into her.
According to Hollywood Life, Blake Shelton did not attend the event on Oct. 17 because he knew his ex-wife would be there. It was the country music industry’s biggest event but he was nowhere in sight.
However, a source seems to say that the 42-year-old country singer skipped the occasion for another reason and that it was not to avoid a run-in with Miranda Lambert.
“The night was devoted to women and Blake would have felt that the focus would be taken away from all the women being honored by being there so that is why he stayed away,” the source shared.
Meanwhile, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton’s divorce was finalized in 2015 and as everyone already knows, the latter is currently dating Gwen Stefani.
