Formula One legend Michael Schumacher's health has been the hot topic for most of his fans in the competitive motorsport industry since he suffered a severe head trauma during an accident at the Meribel resort in the French Alps. Schumacher was put into a medically induced coma to assist in recovery before he was transferred to a hospital in France and eventually to his home in Geneva after being awoken from the coma.

Fan fervor around Michael Schumacher can be appreciated by the fact that the news waves are always dominated by speculations about Schumi's health. This was even when Corinna Schumacher, Schumi's wife, along with his close friends and associates, already requested privacy for Michael Schumacher during his period of recovery.

Fans late to the retired German driver's legacy and are still getting to know Schumacher's history should be aware that he currently holds the records for the most world championship titles, the most Grand Prix wins, the most fastest laps, and the most races won in a single season.

The amazing bar that Michael Schumacher has set for the sport has yet to be touched since his retirement in 2012. While younger drivers such as British Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton are coming close to beating Schumi's records, Michael Schumacher was a pioneer of excellence in the automotive sport. While newer stars keep the Formula One competitive scene as vibrant as possible with Schumi's absence, it looks like fans of Schumacher can look forward to another Schumacher filling in the void left behind by the racing legend.

Schumacher's own son, Mick Schumacher, looks to be following in his father's footsteps with a growing career in Formula Three. The younger Schumacher has already won his maiden race at Spa, the same track that his father started his consecutive victory streak. With his current performance in the 2018 Formula Three season, Mick Schumacher looks to be aiming for a Formula One seat sometime soon.
