Michael Schumacher’s health is still a big mystery, and his family’s decision to keep the F1 legend’s condition a secret was heavily criticized by fans. They said this is because they have the right to know how he is recovering following his freak skiing accident as they love him as well. But despite the pleas, the Schumacher family remains firm and refuses to share any detail.

Michael Schumacher suffered a severe head injury that left him in a coma in 2013. He hit his head on a rock, but even if he was wearing safety gears like a helmet, his fall was so bad that his injuries almost took his life.

As mentioned by Express, Michael Schumacher had a brain operation to stop a hemorrhage and he was in critical condition. So when he was transferred to a hospital in Grenoble on Dec. 29, 2013, he was put in a medically induced coma to save him.

There has not been much confirmed news about his health recovery since then. But in March 2014, it was said that Michael Schumacher may have already woken up from his coma and showed small movements. A few weeks after that, in April 2014, it was said that the racing legend was awake so he was moved to a rehabilitation center for therapy.

In September of that same year, it was widely reported that Michael Schumacher was going home already and a private medical room had been set up in his home so he could continue his recovery there. Since then, Schumi’s family has been silent about his condition.

No facts about Michael Schumacher’s health are available since his family chose to be secretive. Although his friends would sometimes say that they visited the champ, they do not share much information, so fans are still wondering if their favorite sportsman is really alright and if he is recovering well.

With how things are going, it appears that Michael Schumacher will never appear before the public again. His family chose to keep their lives private and it has been five years since he was last seen, so it is likely that he will continue living away from the limelight even if he fully recovers.

Now, Bild reported that Michael Schumacher’s wife Corrina Betsch purchased a 27 million pound mansion in Majorca, Spain so they can live in peace, out of the public’s eye. However, the family later denied that they would move to this remote area. Then again, there are people who believe that the family is already there with Schumi.
