Meghan Markle Returns to Instagram to Earn Millions Amid Alleged Financial Troubles: Report

Meghan Markle previously shut down her own Instagram account with Prince Harry in 2020.

Meghan Markle will return to the social media platform Instagram under the new account handle @meghan, a new report claimed. Experts have even predicted that the wife of Prince Harry, who shut down her own account with the Duke of Sussex in 2020, is getting ready to make millions of pounds on her posts.

Meghan Markle Set to Return to Instagram to Earn Millions of Pounds

Before marrying Prince Harry in 2018, Meghan Markle had over three million followers on her personal Instagram account. Esther Krakue, a writer and broadcaster, has stated that each of her posts may earn her up to a million dollars.

"I think we know they have made a lot of money given their shenanigans over the last two years but apparently Meghan wants to actually focus on building up her brand,” Esther told Sky News Australia. "There have been rumours that she could actually post or do sponsored posts on Instagram which is something that influencers do. Apparently she could make up to a million dollars a post by sponsoring sort of brand that's willing to have her as a spokesperson,” she continued.

The statements of Esther Krakue came after Meghan Markle announced last year that she is “getting back on Instagram.” Meanwhile, Eric Schiffer, a social media expert who advises the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” stars, also commented on the “Suits” alum’s alleged plan to return to Instagram.

"I don’t think Meghan coming back to Instagram will surprise anyone. She has a new talent manager and this is the next logical step. I would expect her to quickly become one of the most followed accounts on Instagram. You have celebrities like the Kardashians who can command $ 1 million (£790,000) and up for a single post promoting a product,” Eric stated.

"There is no reason Meghan couldn’t be earning those sorts of fees. She has to be careful, as a duchess, to avoid being seen to be hawking every product under the sun. She will align with quality brands and companies that are on point with her political and social beliefs,” he furthered.

Another marketing expert shared how the status of Meghan Markle on social media is entirely unique. "Her status is unique because she is a celebrity, actress and royalty. Meghan could charge a million dollars per post as an absolute minimum,” Kent Moore explained.

"That sum would rise quickly if her partnerships achieve global coverage and traction. Brands could want to align with her for campaigns over a couple of years, featuring several posts and even personal appearances,” he added.

Meghan Markle Bought Princess Lilibet Gift Before She Met Prince Harry

Meanwhile, during her acting career, Meghan Markle reportedly gave herself a very expensive gift, which will one day belong to Princess Lilibet. The Duchess of Sussex allegedly gifted herself a £5,000 Cartier Tank Francaise watch.

"I've always coveted the Cartier French Tank watch. When I found out Suits had been picked up for our third season which, at the time, felt like such a milestone I totally splurged and bought the two-tone version,” Meghan Markle told HELLO! In 2015, a year before she met Prince Harry and six years before the royal couple welcomed their young daughter.

"I plan to give it to my daughter one day. That's what makes pieces special, the connection you have to them,” she went on. Meghan Markle even had the pricey piece engraved with a message to remind her of her accomplishments. She had the piece engraved with the words, “To M.M. From M.M.”
