Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are the newest Instagram-official celebrity couple after the latter shared a black-and-white mirror selfie of them earlier this week. Fans should note though that clues about their relationship have been around for a few months now, and it all started shortly after they met for a movie project.
Megan Fox, Machine Gun Kelly: How they met
Fox and Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, first met after being cast for the upcoming crime thriller “Midnight in the Switchgrass” last March. Filming for the movie started in the same month in Puerto Rico until it was postponed after a few weeks due to COVID-19. In that brief moment, however, the spark between the new couple may have already started.
Fox and Kelly were recent guests in the “Give them Lala… with Randall” podcast hosted by Lala Kent and Randall Emmett, who is also directing the movie that cast the new couple. Kelly confirmed in the interview that he had his eyes on Fox during the short time they were filming adding that their trailers happened to be next to each other. “I just waited outside on my trailer steps every day,” Kelly said. “I worked just to catch one glimpse of eye contact. She has the most gorgeous eyes I’ve ever seen.”
The “Transformers” alum was cast before Kelly for the movie and she remembered asking who was going to play a certain role. Upon learning it would be Kelly, the actress said she immediately felt that “some wild s**t” will happen to her. “I wasn’t yet sure what. I just felt it like, deep in my soul,” she added.
The “Jennifer’s Body” star also revealed she felt a connection with Kelly as soon as they met and believes her new boyfriend is her “twin flame.” Unlike soul mates, twin flames are described as halves of a single soul.
Megan Fox, Machine Gun Kelly: A bloody valentine?
Technically, Fox is still married to “Beverly Hills, 90210” actor Brian Austin Green. However, there have reports that the two got separated earlier this year, which Green confirmed in mid-May through his podcast. Neither of them has filed for divorce as of this writing.
In the same program, Green dismissed any speculations of cheating saying that he and Fox have talked about Kelly and that they were just friends at the time. “From what she’s expressed, he’s a really nice, genuine guy, and I trust her judgment,” he added.
A few days later, Fox appeared in Kelly’s music video of “Bloody Valentine.” The first time they were photographed holding hands and kissing in public was in June while Green was spotted having lunch with model Courtney Stodden.
