The first teaser video for the upcoming Marvel TV series “The Inhumans” was released on Friday, and boy, trouble will be brewing within the Royal Family.
In the 33-second video clip, Deadline noted that the teaser video is an audio recording of an exchange between a male and a female. The male, who sounded like “Game Of Thrones” star Iwan Rheon, said as Maximus, the brother of the King of the Inhumans, Black Bolt (Anson Mount), “Are we supposed to follow our king and remain as silent as he is?”
The female, who sounded like Serinda Swan’s Medusa, Black Bolt’s wife and Queen of the Inhumans, answered back and said, “You’re talking about betraying your brother. You’re talking about treason.”
Maximus then declares as the tease concludes with the show’s logo, “What I’m talking about is freedom, freedom for all Inhumans.”
Entertainment Weekly said the teaser confirmed that the first season will definitely play out the bitter strife between Black Bolt and Maximus, of which is also documented well in the series. Showrunner Scott Buck earlier promised that although it will feature superhumans, the core of the show will be about the drama between the members of the Royal Family, which also includes Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Ken Leung as Karnak, "Black Bolt's cousin and closest advisor," and Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, "Cousin of Black Bolt” and the leader of the military of Attilan, the Inhumans’ ancestral home.
The first two episodes of “The Inhumans” will first be screened on IMAX beginning September 1st ahead of its September 26 debut on ABC.
