The biggest first-party launch title for PlayStation 5 will be “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales,” and shortly before its release a short gameplay video leaks online showing the titular character swinging across New York City skyscrapers. Aside from the very smooth animation, the video also hints at a new suit that this Spider-Man will don in the game.
‘Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales’ gameplay (Spoilers ahead!)
The leaked video only runs for a minute and does not show much other than Spider-Man using his web to move from one skyscraper to another, so just normal stuff for the New York-based superhero. Since it is leaked media content, fans should not expect sharp images. But while the video quality is rather low, gamers familiar with the Insomniac Games’ first “Spider-Man” game for PlayStation 4 were quick to notice how much smoother the movements appear in the supposed “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales” gameplay.
Any avid “Spider-Man” fan knows that the suit the hero wears is also important, and that is also true for the video game. What the hero wears in the leaked “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales” gameplay does not seem familiar compared to what fans have seen on comic books, movies, and TV. The suit in the video looks similar to another leaked gameplay screenshot, which is a little bit on the unpolished side.
This could mean that leaks are from one of the first parts of the campaign as players are expected to unlock more advanced suits as the level up in the game. Some fans have speculated that the suit that appears in the “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales” leaks could be the so-called Gift Suit that Peter gave Miles when the responsibility of saving the city was handed to him. Game Informer described it as having just two colors, blue and red, and “looks a bit like pajamas.”
‘Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales’ release date
As a launch title, it means “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales” will go live once PlayStation 5 is also out in the market. For gamers in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and South Korea that will be on Nov. 12 while other territories will have to wait another week. The game will also be released on PS4.
