Mark Harmon has long been rumored to be leaving “NCIS” and media outlets listed various reasons why the veteran actor is supposedly quitting being Leroy Jethro Gibbs. In addition to his health issues, it was said that he does not have a good relationship with his colleagues and production crew thus, he opted to just leave.
As per Globe, Mark Harmon is ready to give up his role in “NCIS” because he is already fed up with the series and his co-workers. Then again, it was claimed that his departure from the show would be a good thing for the people on the set and he will surely not be missed once he finally quits. The tabloid went on to mention that the 67-year-old actor has been dubbed as “The meanest man on TV.”
“He’s fed up with ‘NCIS’ and everybody on it,” the source allegedly told the paper. “He’s hated by the rest of the cast because he holds grudges and has gotten people fired. He’s a real dictator on the set and sparked a lot of conflicts among his co-workers.”
While Globe did not elaborate on the alleged conflicts that Mark Harmon supposedly have with his co-stars, it was widely believed that he was the reason why Pauley Perrette had left the show last year. The actress allegedly had a big feud with Harmon so she announced her exit from “NCIS” season 16.
Incidentally, it was said that it is not just Pauley Perrette as the entire cast is also at odds with Mark Harmon these days. However, the tabloid failed to back up its claim so Gossip Cop confidently stated that the report is false.
The gossip police noted that Globe only based its story about Mark Harmon quitting “NCIS” due to conflicts with his colleagues on the tips given by dubious tipsters that cannot even be traced. Moreover, the actor already made it clear that he is not leaving the show, and though he may work on another show, this will not interfere with his acting commitments to the drama so he will continue to be Gibbs until the end.
