PAOLI, Pa., Jan. 26, 2016 -- Malvern Federal Savings Bank, (“Malvern”) the wholly owned subsidiary of Malvern Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ:MLVF), today announced the appointment of Karen Walter as Chief Operating Officer.

Weagley, President and CEO of Malvern Bancorp, Inc., and Malvern Federal Savings Bank. “Karen is an outstanding addition as she brings nearly 20 years of diverse banking experience with responsibilities including operations, P&L, customer satisfaction, new product development, sales, branding and communications.”
Prior to joining Malvern as Senior Vice President in 2015, Walter served as a consultant and Chief Operating Officer for Inspire Federal Credit Union in Bristol, Pa. Previously, she was Executive Vice President, Marketing & Retail at First National Bank of Chester County in West Chester, Pa. Walter also served as Executive Vice President, Director of Sales for Susquehanna Patriot Bank in Pottstown, Pa., where she received the Excellence in Leadership Award; as well as Vice President, Regional Sales Manager at Sovereign Bank in Wyomissing, Pa. Walter served on several committees within her career at numerous organizations, including asset/liability management, compliance and charitable donations. Walter is a former member of Make-A-Wish Foundation Northeast’s board of directors.
Walter received a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University along with studies in Master of Science and earned a Certificate in Marketing Strategies for Business Leaders from Cornell University.
