“MacGyver” Season 3 Episode 17 will be an intriguing episode to follow as James MacGyver (Tate Donovan) is expected to make an appearance. At the moment, it’s still unclear why the old improviser has resurfaced again, CaterMatt reported.

The synopsis of “MacGyver” Season 3 Episode 17 also doesn’t provide information regarding this front. “MacGyver and team are asked to solve a locked-door mystery when a man working inside a remote, ultra-secure international seed vault disappears.” Riddle seems to be the main theme of the story paired with a little family reunion on the side.

James’ appearance comes after Jack (George Eads) left the team after being assigned for a top secret mission. Jack has always been the father-figure for the squad and now that he’s gone, it seems that the showrunners are trying to have someone fill that hole. This is especially true since the previous release also utilized Elwood (William Baldwin), Riley’s (Tristin Mays) dad. Aside from the abovementioned themes, “MacGyver” Season 3 Episode 17 will also be playing with a bit of chemistry on its characters.

So far, the arrival of Desi (Levi Tran) has been received relatively well by fans. Of course, she’s no Jack Dalton but the character also has a certain charm to her that is quickly growing on the heart of the series’ fan base. There’s also the fact that the showrunner is incorporating a subtle attraction between Desi and Mac, which would be interesting to see in “MacGyver” Season 3 Episode 17.

However, some fans aren’t too keen at having Desi be the love interest of Mac since mixing work with romance almost always end up in complicated circumstances. As for the release date of “MacGyver” Season 3 Episode 17, it will not be coming out this week. Instead, CBS has scheduled it to drop on March 8 as the series takes a short hiatus.
