The MacBook Pro 2018 was supposed to be the unit that fixed all of the problems of the previous iterations of the device, but this simply was not the case. Coming with its own issues, the Apple computer lineup ended up disappointing many customers. This is too bad since the company is currently offering discounts to students, which could cut the original price by a lot.
As Business Insider reports, Apple is currently offering huge deals with regards to its products for a limited time. This is basically part of its back-to-school campaign, wherein students from every level gain access to offers in one way or another. Among them are a $400 discount on an iMac Pro and a $150 markdown of the highest-tier MacBook Pro 2018 unit.
This is undoubtedly going to attract that attention of a lot of students and parents who might want to give their children an actual MacBook Pro 2018. However, customers might want to hold off on using this offer right now since the lineup is still experiencing some serious issues. The problems with the keyboards, for example, still persist.
In a recent Reddit post, for example, a user revealed how his new 13-inch MacBook Pro 2018 unit had to have its keyboards replaced. What’s astonishing is that the problems arose in only a matter of weeks following its purchase and that the replacement parts had to be ordered from China. In terms of optics, this is not an encouraging sign for anyone to buy a unit for themselves, right now.
If Apple can find a way to permanently fix the issue that is plaguing its MacBook Pro 2018 units, the lineup would be much better received than it is now. Its specs have seen some great improvements and the laptops are as stylish as ever. However, if the keyboards keep malfunctioning, the MacBook Pro 2018 lineup is only going to keep pushing customers away.
