Italian luxury brand Bulgari will release an NFT of their exclusive timepieces, combining the pinnacle of physical craftsmanship with a digital proof of ownership to symbolize the culmination of Bulgari’s 10th Anniversary of its Octo Finissimo collection.
Bulgari’s latest wristwatch is currently the thinnest mechanical manual-wind watch in the world at just 1.8mm.
The luxury brand spent three years making the timepiece using the finest sandblasted titanium and tungsten carbide.
The timepiece features a QR code, which if scanned will take owners to an NFT artwork that will also serve to authenticate the watch.
In addition, owners would also see details about the watch, such as its history, concept, design, and manufacturing process. There is even a three-dimensional virtual journey inside the mechanical movement.
Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin described the watch as an impossible dream come true.
Babb added that the watch guarantees that Bulgari will forever be recognized for writing some of the important pages in Swiss watchmaking history, despite being an Italian house.
