“Lucifer” season 4’s production is definitely running smoothly. Showrunner Ildy Modrovich confirmed they have started working on the show’s finale this week.
Modrovich shared a photo on Twitter on Wednesday where she revealed that they have already gone through the table read for the “Lucifer” season 4 finale. Of course, the showrunner will not spoil any plot detail and ruin the surprise. But she did confirm that the script made her cry, which is most likely what the viewers will experience as well.
In fact, even before seeing the “Lucifer” season 4 finale, fans replying to Modrovich’s tweet already admit to feeling emotional just by thinking that the show was saved by Netflix a few months ago. But what does a tearful showrunner say about the show’s upcoming plot?
One of the fans pointed out that the last time Modrovich told fans she cried from a script reading session did not end well. The fan was referring to Charlotte’s (Tricia Helfer) death after she sacrificed herself to save Amenadiel (D. B. Woodside). Does this mean someone will meet his or her demise on “Lucifer” season 4 as well?
For now, it is safe to hope for the best things coming out of “Lucifer” season 4. And with a new home in Netflix, its viewers can also expect some changes in the show. For one, since Netflix is a more controlled viewing platform, there are lesser restrictions on the characters showing some skin.
This much was confirmed by actor Tom Ellis last month. “Lots of people want to see it, really: there may be some bum shots this season,” the actor teased. But he was also clear in reminding fans that the inclusion of nudity in “Lucifer” season 4 is “not vulgar” and “justified.”
“Lucifer” season 4 is going to be the shortest installment with only 10 episodes. Its premiere date is yet to be announced but Netflix is expected to release the show sometime in 2019.
