‘Lucifer’ Season 4 Air Date, Spoilers: Cast Now Includes ‘Outlander’ Star; Bolder Scenes to Greet Fans When Series Returns

Lucifer

“Lucifer” season 4 is returning with bigger names and it is going all out with bolder scenes and storylines. For starters, the cast now includes “Outlander” star Graham McTavish, who plays Dougal McKenzie in the Starz time-traveling drama.

According to TV Insider, McTavish has signed up for a pivotal role in “Lucifer” season 4. He will be Father Kinley and his character is described as a nice, caring priest who will do everything to protect his flock from evil.

So far, his addition is the second one since it was previously announced that Inbar Lavi has been cast as Eve, whose first love turned out to be Lucifer and not Adam. These new characters are bound to shake up Lucifer and it is interesting to see how they will do this.

McTavish and Lavi are joining the original cast of “Lucifer” season 4, which includes Tom Ellis (Lucifer Morningstar), Lauren German (Detective Chloe Decker), Kevin Alejandro (Detective Dan Espinoza), Rachael Harris (Dr. Linda Martin), DB Woodside (Amenadiel), Aimee Garcia (Ella Lopez) and Lesley-Ann Brandt (Mazikeen).

And as “Lucifer” season 4 moves to a new home, Netflix, fans can expect more adult content. The show has more freedom now when it comes to daring scenes because it is no longer on a broadcast network. For a tease, this season may showcase some nudities, and this means Ellis’s naked body.

In fact, the actor has been busy working out to tone his physique even more. He shares photos of his amazing progress on social media and the results are definitely for showing off.

Moreover, aside from being uncensored and having a naughtier devil, showrunner Joe Henderson confirmed that “Lucifer” season 4 will be more frightening. On the whole, it will present a different vibe compared to the previous seasons.

"Our blood can be a little more real, our horror can be a little more horror-y. It will all stay within the language of the show, but we're definitely going to embrace the little things like that I think make a big difference," TV Line quoted him as saying.

Air Date and Episodes

Filming for “Lucifer” season 4 started on Aug. 13 and showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich stated that they will wrap up in December. If this schedule is followed, then fans can already watch the series in early 2019 and enjoy binge-watching at least 10 episodes for this installment.
