‘Lucifer’ season 2’s episode 9, entitled “Homewrecker”, will find more family drama brewing between Lucifer and his mother Charlotte. A new owner takes over Lucifer’s building where Lux is located, and threatens to kick him out. The murder may be connected to Charlotte as she is adamant on bringing her son back to Heaven with her.
The synopsis for “Homewrecker” posted on Cartermatt stated, “Following the murder of the owner of the building in which Lux is located, Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Chloe (Lauren German) search for the killer, while Lucifer also deals with the fact that the new owner wants to evict him and demolish the place.
Lucifer goes to great lengths to protect his home, and is entirely shocked when Chloe is supportive of him. Meanwhile, Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) and Amenadiel (D. B. Woodside) follow Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) around, as she comes up with a plan to upset Lucifer enough to want to leave earth and go back to Heaven.”
The incoming episode’s promo seemed to suggest that Charlotte will go to great lengths just to persuade her son Lucifer to go back to Heaven with her. In the previous episode recapped by Fan Sided, entitled "Trip to Stabby Town", Charlotte released Azrael’s dagger out into the world to “get God’s attention”. Members of a yoga cult group then end up getting stabbed to death.
Perhaps Charlotte is behind the new murder of a building owner, whose building is where Lucifer’s nightclub Lux is located. The new owner that takes over proves to be a problem for Lucifer since he is being threatened with eviction as the building will be demolished.
The promo opened to Maze threatening Charlotte, “I know what you’re doing. You’re trying to take Lucifer’s home on Earth. It won’t work.” In the next scene, Charlotte scoffs at Lucifer’s attachment to his nightclub. Maze then warns Lucifer that his mother is trying to take Lux away from him.
‘Lucifer’ season 2’s episode 9, entitled “Homewrecker”, is scheduled to air on Fox on November 21, 2016. It was directed by Greg Beeman and written by Mike Costa. It will be followed by episode 10, entitled "Quid Pro Ho", scheduled for November 28.
