London Deputy Mayor for Business likely to attend London Fintech Week 2016

The London Fintech Week which is expected to take place from 15th to 22nd July 2016, has revealed the list of more than 120 speakers from across the Fintech industry.

Fintech Week which comprises of a series of conferences, workshops, hackathons, meetups and parties, focuses on different topics each day. This year, the event will be witnessing industry's most leading speakers including Rajesh Agrawal, London Deputy Mayor for Business; Eileen Burbidge, partner at Passion Capital and British Treasury's Special Envoy for FinTech; and Kerry Agiasotis, President of Western Union Business Solutions among others.

“In 2014, we successfully organized London’s first Fintech Week. In 2015 we scaled up and attracted delegates from across the globe got some of the brightest minds in financial services on our stage and ran a Blockchain Hackathon in Canary Wharf. In 2016 we’re going bigger,” the event website stated.

Apart from the key speakers, the list of delegates also includes CEO’s, CFO’s and co-founders from a number of worldwide banks, investment firms, and fintech companies. Also, the conference has teamed up with UCL, The Open Bank Project & Hack / Make The Bank in order to bring the Blockchain Hackathon, which kicks off London Fintech Week.

“We’re looking for innovative solutions that leverage distributed ledger technology in order to make banking and financial services better. Crypto payments, unique clearing methodologies, Identity & KYC or something completely new are all fair game,” the website stated mentioning about the criteria’s for the Hackathon.

The winning team of this Hackathon will receive £2000 and get a speaking slot during London Fintech Week.
