Murtaugh (Damon Wayans, Sr.) and Cole (Seann William Scott) are going to investigate and track down a truckload of stolen expensive art in “Lethal Weapon” season 3 episode 5. But it also looks like their chase for the bad guys will lead them to an on-water fight sequence.
“Lethal Weapon” season 3 episode 5 is titled “Get the Picture” and it is an obvious allusion to the case they are going to work on after the show’s one-week hiatus. According to the official synopsis, a large number of works of “fine art” — many enough to fill a truck — will fall in the hands of thieves. It is Murtaugh and Cole’s job to retrieve these and catch the bad guys.
However, the “Lethal Weapon” season 3 episode 5 preview gives fans an idea of what is going to happen. It is very likely that the stolen pieces of fine art will be transported by a luxury yacht.
Cole and a guest character identified as Lena/Layla (Annet Mahendru) will intercept the said yacht. But they are not stealthy enough so the thieves catch them red-handed. As a result, Cole and Lena/Layla will be held hostage in “Lethal Weapon” season 3 episode 5.
Murtaugh will be just in time in contacting the bad guys but it does not seem to faze them. The “Lethal Weapon” season 3 episode 5 video teaser shows an explosion will wreck the yacht, causing the vessel to take on water.
Since Cole and Lena/Layla are restrained, they face the possibility of getting drowned along with the sinking yacht. On the other hand, Murtaugh will attempt to save his partner in “Lethal Weapon” season 3 episode 5 as soon as he figures out how to navigate a docked boat.
There are other things to watch out for in “Lethal Weapon” season 3 episode 5. For one, the synopsis hints at Cole confronting his lingering feelings for his baby mama, Natalie (Maggie Lawson).
On the other hand, Riana (Chandler Kinney) catches her father lying to her mom, which she uses to her advantage, forcing Murtaugh to allow her to attend a concert in “Lethal Weapon” season 3 episode 5.
As mentioned, there will be no new episode of next week. So fans can expect “Lethal Weapon” season 3 episode 5 to air on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 9 p.m. ET on FOX.
