Lee Min Ho has finally been discharged from the army after completing his 2-year mandatory military service. He went back to civilian life just a little over two weeks ago and apparently he does not want to waste his time and immediately signed up for a new drama.
According to Chosun Ilbo, Min Ho will have his new project with the production company called Hwa & Dam Pictures. He will be in a drama that will reunite him with “Heirs” writer Kim Eun Sook. The actor made the right choice because Kim is an award-winning writer who also wrote the “Descendant of the Sun” and many actors wish to be included in projects she penned.
Lee Min Ho will head straight back to work after a short vacation. As can be seen in his social media post, he is in Spain with his friends, enjoying the view and even biking on a hill.
Bae Suzy’s ex-boyfriend’s next role is likely to be a king as suggested in the title. In Min Ho’s upcoming drama tentatively titled “The King: The Eternal Monarch,” the parallel format will allow two storylines to be featured, and each one is set in the old Korean times and the present era.
Soompi reported that it would be a fantasy drama that is expected to begin filming in the second half of 2019. With that schedule, then fans will be able to see Min Ho back on the small screen in 2020.
Min Ho was welcomed back by fans on April 25. He served as a public service social worker at the Suseo Social Welfare Center for around 19 months.
Lee Min Ho did not hold any special event on his discharge day, but fans went to the center to see him. The Minoz, his fandom, brought posters, banners, and gifts to express their happiness on his safe return.
