It was learned that the rumor started when an online media outlet released a report about possible partners for Swift after she broke up with her boyfriend Tom Hiddleston. Allkpop mentioned that it was Channel New Asia that wrote the article and the bachelors considered were Leonardo DiCaprio, Drake, G-Dragon, Lee Min Ho and Joseph Schooling.

Various outlets then picked up the story and singled out “The Heirs” actor as Swift’s possible boyfriend. Along the way, it came to the point when the recycled story ended up declaring that Min Ho and Swift are dating.

The truth as revealed by Min Ho’s agency

Korea’s E-Daily reported that Lee Min Ho’s agency acted swiftly and clarified the rumors. The company’s representative stated that they too were taken aback as the news was ridiculous to begin with.

It was added that they just laughed off the rumors because they really find it absurd because the actor and the singer have not even met in person yet. The two are surely perplexed too with the rumors going around about them.

Further, it was learned that Lee Min Ho was filming the “Legend of the Blue Sea” with Jun Ji Hyun when the dating rumors with Taylor Swift was reported. He was in Spain at that time and a source has given his opinion on how the two were linked together.

“Lee Min Ho is currently overseas and focusing on acting, so it’s difficult to nosily ask him about Taylor Swift,” the source explained. “Perhaps he got involved in this dating rumor because he's filming in Spain is receiving a lot of attention from the international press.”
