KEMP, Texas, March 23, 2018 -- Larson Electronics LLC, industrial lighting leader, released a new portable explosion proof LED light with a magnetic bast, that is UL approved for Class 1 & 2 Division 1 & 2, and rated for use in wet and marine environments. This LED lamp features a step-down transformer allowing operators to use this light for low voltage applications in hazardous locations.
The EPL-BS-25WRE-6XMB-150X12 portable magnetic explosion proof LED light is a rugged explosion proof lighting solution for use in industrial applications, that includes an adjustable 25 watt LED, an inline step-down transformer, a magnetic base for flexible mounting. The 25 watt LED draws just 70 watts and is an excellent replacement for 400 watt halogen lamps, providing users with 2,750 lumens of high-quality output, and great color rendering and contrasting. The 40 degree flood pattern makes this LED ideal for general illumination in confined spaces such as silos, tanks or manholes. The included inline transformer can step 110-270VAC current down to 12V for operators who need a low voltage solution.
The explosion proof LED flood lamp is conveniently mounted on a dircular non-sparking spin aluminum base equipped with three 200 pound grip magnets and three 100 pound grip magnets, allowing the fixture to be temporarily mounted to any flat metallic surface. To further increase this LED’s portability and flexibility, the lamp can be adjusted 90 degrees vertically to reach the desired angle, and includes a carrying handle for comfortable transportation. A copper-free cast aluminum housing with thermoset powder coating, combined with sealed fittings and a thermal shock and impact resistant tempered glass greatly reduces the potential of damage if they lamp is dropped or hit.
“The EPL-BS-25WRE-6XMB-150X12 is the perfect low voltage lighting solution for temporary applications,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics LLC. “This LED has powerful light output, an adjustable beam, and a very strong magnetic base that operators can mount in any approved location and move around as needed to achieve the best illumination spread for their task.”
