The Honda Prologue SUV, the latest electric vehicle from Honda, is available for lease with savings up to $14,250 during the Labor Day promotion, making it a more affordable option than even the Civic.
Prologue Lease Offers $14,250 Savings
A brand new Honda Prologue is now available for lease at a price lower than a Civic. According to Electrek, the Honda Prologue SUV is a more advantageous leasing option compared to the Civic, especially with the new Labor Day discount that could save you up to $14,250.
In March, Honda's first electric SUV started making its way into US dealerships. With 3,458 units sold in July alone, Honda's Prologue model has a total of over 5,000 units sold in the US thus far.
Prologue's Ultium Platform Supports 296-Mile Range
Using General Motors' Ultium platform—which is also used by forthcoming Chevrolet, Cadillac, and GMC electric vehicles—the Honda Prologue can reach a maximum range of 296 miles. "Highest standard driving range in its class," claims Honda.
It shares a platform with the previous model, but Honda gave it some tweaks to make it its own. As an extra design element, Honda included multi-link front and rear suspensions.
The 2024 Honda Prologue has a starting price that is lower than the average US new vehicle transaction price (ATP), at $47,400. Cox Automotive reports that in June, the ATP for new vehicles was $48,644.
Prologue Lease Costs Drop for Labor Day
Honda dropped the price of the Prologue considerably lower just before Labor Day. On August 28, 2024, Honda launched a new Labor Day Dealer Cash program on all Prologue leases, according to online vehicle research firm CarsDirect.
The Honda Prologue can be leased for less than a Civic, with savings of up to $14,250 possible. You may lease the 2024 Honda Prologue EX for $299/month for 36 months.
Lease incentives of $1,000 (loyalty and conquest) reduce the monthly payment to $269. After deducting the $750 Labor Day Dealer Cash reduction, the effective monthly rate drops to $325 from the $1,999 required at signing.
Monthly payments for the Honda Civic LX, after the reduction for leasing, are $239. With an initial payment of $3,599, the monthly payment for the Civic is $333—$8 more than that of the Prologue.
Despite the fact that a brand new 2025 Civic LX costs only $24,250, the almost $40,000 Prologue costs nearly twice as much.
Labor Day Lease Savings on Honda Prologue
Leasing a Honda Prologue might save you up to $14,250. Electric vehicle tax credit of $7,500, Captive Lease Cash of $5,000, a lease offer of $1,000 (loyalty or conquest), and Labor Day Dealer Cash of $750 are all part of the reductions.
Deals on Prologue are best found in ZEV states like California. Nonetheless, savings of up to $13,250 are still available to individuals in other regions of the nation.
