Kylie Jenner is one of the most followed celebrities on many social media platforms. So when rumors about her pregnancy came out last year, her sudden online absence was almost instantly taken as confirmation of the news by many. Recently, the reality star finally talked about why she ended up deciding to live a low-profile life before giving birth to baby Stormi.
Jenner graced the cover of Vogue Australia’s September 2018 issue along with an interview conducted by her supermodel sister Kendall Jenner. This was where Kylie spilled the beans and revealed her reasons for choosing to stay away from the cameras as much as possible within the nine months of her pregnancy.
“I knew that it would be better for us if me and Stormi just stayed kind of low-key,” Kylie Jenner said in the Vogue Australia interview (via Daily Mail). She added, “I just felt like it was a sacred special moment and I wasn’t ready to share it with everybody. I just wanted to keep that to myself.”
Overall, Jenner thought that temporarily staying away from the public eye was the best decision at the time she was pregnant. She recalled that being pregnant just naturally made her hormones go “crazy,” leading to “more heightened” emotions. “I just knew that it would be better for me, and I could enjoy the whole experience if I did it privately,” Jenner further explained.
Reports based on insider tips still proliferated despite Jenner’s silence about pregnancy rumors. But shortly after she gave birth to Stormi last February, Jenner released an 11-minute video on YouTube and her social media pages that feature clips taken during her pregnancy. The said video currently has over 73 million views on YouTube alone.
Meanwhile, Vogue Australia also gave a sneak peek at Kylie Jenner’s interview through the magazine’s Instagram page. Jenner stated how she has changed since Stormi arrived. She told her sister, “I think more of the future.” She added that having Stormi taught her to love herself more. Fans can read Jenner’s full interview once Vogue Australia’s September 2018 issue comes out on Aug. 27.
