It would seem that a Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson reunion is just not happening despite what the tabloid media is saying. It is not happening now, it did not happen the many times it was reported before, and it is not likely to happen ever. The only person to have had any significant impact on the British actor, so far, is Christopher Nolan. The “Batman” trilogy director successfully seduced Robert Pattinson into acting on a big budget movie again.
One of the most significant results of the Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson breakup was the actor’s sudden aversion to doing major film projects. Instead, he has mostly been interested in smaller films in the indie arena, Pop Culture reports. However, this does not mean that the star is no longer able to land roles in big-budget movies.
For example, a USA Today report interview sees the actor who brought the vampire “Edward” to life talking about why he chose to be a part of the film. More than any Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson story to have come out, it would seem that this project is what the actor found most interesting.
"I got locked in a room to read the script – I don't have it myself," the actor had said. "I've been a little wary of doing big movies for years and years, but there's just something about Chris Nolan's stuff. He seems like the only director now who can do what is essentially a very personal, independent movie that has huge scale. I read the script and it's unreal."
So, there it is. If anyone wants a Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson reunion to happen, they might need Christopher Nolan to step in and actually have the two working on the same movie. Even then, however, there is no guarantee that it is going to work. The rift has simply become too deep and too wide.
