Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson achieved their celebrity stardom when they both starred in the hit film series “Twilight.” While the two had been in the entertainment industry for a while before taking the project on, it was this vampire franchise that truly propelled them to the status they’re currently enjoying.
And since “Twilight” is going to celebrate its 10th anniversary this November, the media is once again trying to speculate on a possible continuation of Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward's (Robert Pattinson) romance. Fortunately, both stars are trying to promote their respective upcoming films at the moment and interviewers had a lot of chances to ask the duo what they feel about a potential “Twilight” return.
"Yes, absolutely. Honestly, start sending scripts my way. Let's start building this,” Kristen Steward said with a sarcastic but playful tone. The actress also revealed that she doesn’t feel that 10 years has already passed following her involvement with the franchise, which is quite a vampiric thing to say. As for Robert Pattinson, he’s also ready to reprise his role as a 17-year-old vampire, Pop Sugar reported.
Of course, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s statement aren’t a confirmation that a new “Twilight” movie is in the works. Besides, while the franchise did immensely help their careers, there are also bad memories that are tied with the films.
The most prominent of which is the relationship between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, a romance which eventually ended on a sour note. When the ex-couple was dating at the time, reports exploded that the actress was actually going behind the back of the “Remember Me” star. What made it even worse is the fact that the third party involved was film director Rupert Sanders, who was married.
Photos released online showed both Sanders and Kristen Stewart being intimate with each other, which broke the hearts of millions of fans who were rooting for the actress and Robert Pattinson’s relationship. However, as with most things, time eventually healed the rift between the two and they started being seen together again, although this time it’s more platonic than anything else.
As for “Twilight” itself, the film is going to hit theaters again this October to celebrate the franchise's 10th anniversary. Fans can experience Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s chemistry again on the big screen, although it’s going to be short-lived as it will only be in theaters for two days.
