Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have come a long way since their breakout roles in the movie adaptation of the Stephanie Meyer novels. While Stewart and Pattinson try their best to show their acting depth with new roles, it seems that majority of their fan base just want to see them make another “Twilight” movie.
W Magazine covered a recent Entertainment Tonight interview with Kristen Stewart. The actress was with Laura Dern promoting their upcoming movie, “Jeremiah Terminator LeRoy.” During the interview, the interviewer mentions Robert Pattinson being asked the same question about his interest in potentially doing a “Twilight” sequel or reboot. Stewart answers sarcastically with a poker face that she would be interested in reviewing the material for such a project as soon as possible despite her busy schedule for the coming year preparing for the Elizabeth Banks “Charlie's Angels” remake.
Aside from Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson has also been hounded by questions about doing another “Twilight” movie. The actor, similar to his former leading lady, simply deflects such questions with the same humor as Stewart. He follows up with the statement that he is currently more likely to go after roles that catch his interest, which is far from Edward Cullen at the moment.
As fans may have noticed, The former lead couple of the “Twilight” trilogy have tried their best to break free from the shadow of their mainstream roots, taking on a variety of roles and movies that fans of their original characters would never have watched. While Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson may have buried the hatchet regarding their falling out, it would be a particularly big project that would be able to involve both stars in the same movie once again considering their individual career trajectories.
Fans hoping that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will do another “Twilight” movie may be on the same boat as those who wish the former couple get back together despite the circumstances of their break-up.
