Katie Holmes was in a relationship with Jamie Foxx for about five years before they called it quits. But prior to their split, there are rumors that the “Dawson’s Creek” star was impregnated by the 52-year-old actor.
The MET gala appearance and confirmation of their dating status
Holmes and Foxx were first reported to be dating in 2013, but throughout their relationship, they never admitted or talked about their connection. This was why many people were surprised when the pair appeared together at the MET Gala red carpet last year.
As per New Idea, the two decided to go public with their relationship because Suri Cruise’s mom was pregnant already. The pregnancy made them want to tell everyone about their “real score,” so they used the event to show that they are in love.
“Katie told close family and friends that she is three months pregnant,” the so-called source told the tabloid. “This is why they decided to go public with their relationship at the Met Gala to celebrate and show the world they’re in love.”
It was added that Katie Holmes has long wanted to give her daughter, Suri Cruise, a sibling, so her supposed pregnancy with Jamie Foxx’s baby was a “dream come true.” It was suggested that the actress has been wanting to get pregnant again for some time already and now that it finally happened, she’s really happy.
The truth - Did Katie really got pregnant last year?
Gossip Cop wrote that the report was originally written last year but the rumors still persist up to now. Thus, it is once again debunking the story because it was obviously a made-up story.
Firstly, if Katie Holmes was pregnant a year ago, Suri Cruise would have a baby brother or sister by now. But then, her mom has not given birth and she remained slim until the day Katie and Jamie broke up.
Moreover, this was not the first time that New Idea insisted that Katie Holmes was pregnant. In 2017, when Jamie Foxx celebrated his 50th birthday, the magazine also released an article that stated Suri’s mom displayed her baby bump at the party. Finally, the actress’ rep quashed the rumors by directly saying that Katie is not and was never pregnant at some point during her relationship with the “Just Mercy” actor.
