Members of the royal family are always admired for the poise and grace they exhibit during public engagements and events. However, a recent report about Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, suggests they also know how to have fun and even pull pranks on one another just like ordinary siblings would.
Kate Middleton is the lovely wife of Prince William and sister-in-law of the soon-to-be-father Prince Harry. The Duchess of Cambridge also appears to be very close with her brother-in-law — close enough that she was confident to prank him with a novelty gift.
Prince Harry spent some years as a royal bachelor before he met “Suits” alum, Meghan Markle. And, at the time, Kate Middleton thought it was worth it to poke fun at Prince Harry’s single status.
The Sun reported that the royal family maintains a tradition of exchanging gifts during their Christmas celebrations. Kate Middleton saw it as the best time to prank Prince Harry. The mother of three reportedly gifted the latter with a Grow a Girlfriend kit. It is one of those plastic toys that increase in size once submerged in the water for a certain period of time.
Obviously, Kate Middleton has to find a new way to prank Prince Harry for their family gift giving this year. As the whole world know, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got married last May, and they are now officially addressed as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Just last month, during the couple’s Australian tour, Kensington Palace confirmed they are expecting their first baby.
Meanwhile, the rumored prank just goes to show how close Kate Middleton and Prince Harry have been through the years. It was also reported that Prince William’s wife once played matchmaker for the younger prince.
After Prince Harry found the love of his life, Kate Middleton had another way of helping her brother-in-law. Even if Middleton and Meghan Markle are not exactly alike, Middleton was reportedly a huge help for the former Hollywood star when she was settling in in London with the royal family.
