Jungkook, the member of the popular boyband from South Korea, finally crossed out one of the things he wanted to do. He recently attended Ariana Grande’s concert in Los Angeles, and he said he was inspired after watching how the American singer performed on stage.
It is no secret that BTS’ Jungkook is a big fan of Ariana, so he made the time to attend her concert during his free time. BBC UK reported that the boy band member surprised Grande by appearing on Sweetener World Tour concert in L.A. on May 7 at the Staples Center.
Jungkook’s attendance at Grande’s concert is not the only thing that is making news, but their brief meeting at the backstage got a lot of attention. It seems that the two hung out for a bit after the concert and took snaps to remember the day too.
On Instagram, Ariana uploaded hers and Jungkook’s photo and captioned it with an expression of her gratitude. “Screaming. Thank u soooooo much for coming to my show, Jungkook. it meant so much. love u sm,” she wrote.
On Jungkook’s part, he said he was really inspired to do better on stage after watching one of his favorite singers perform. Via BTS’ official Twitter, the 21-year-old idol wrote "I felt and learned a lot after seeing her stage. I am really challenged by her stage and will try harder!"
Some fans commented that Jungkook is being so humble and underestimating himself because he has been working so hard already. They said that he and his team, BTS, will not be able to secure the top award at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards if not for their hard work thus there is no need to say that he will work harder.
In any case, other fans who saw Jungkook and Grande’s first meeting photo brought up the possibility of a collaboration. Many American artists have expressed their interest in working with BTS so there were some who suggested that perhaps, Jungkook and Grande could do it some time. This is actually an exciting idea but only time will tell if this will materialize in the future.
