LONDON and SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 19, 2017 -- Hotwire, the global communications agency, has appointed John Mahoney as its first Chief Client Officer. This is the first role focused entirely on delivering exceptional campaigns and experiences to Hotwire’s global client base, addressing the challenges faced by CMOs and the brands they represent and putting incredible business results at the heart of the client relationship.
Previously VP, Client Partner at Sapient Razorfish, John has unrivalled experience of managing integrated communications and marketing campaigns for large global accounts, including HP Enterprise and Visa. In his new role, he reports to Group CEO Barbara Bates, and sits within Hotwire’s global leadership team (GLT), to deliver on the company’s ambitious growth strategy and mission to become the best agency its team and clients will ever work with.
Hotwire has also made two further promotions to strengthen its senior bench and provide kick-ass capabilities across the Group.
John Brown has been promoted to Group SVP for Strategy & Innovation, with a mission to make sure Hotwire stays way ahead of the pack when it comes to global communication trends and innovative services. As part of his global role, John will be relocating from London to New York with his family.
Sahana Jayaraman has been promoted to EVP and Global Head of Hotwire’s Digital Brand Lab (DBL), with an international focus on growing and integrating the DBL talents, including brand development, digital campaigns and services such as video, design and build.
John Mahoney said of his appointment: “Our clients are real rockstars in their fields, and my job is to make sure they get the campaigns and experience they need from us to grow both their brands and their own reputations. Hotwire has a limitless mindset that means we truly go above and beyond the norm for the people we work with, and I am very excited to see how far we can take our ambitions together.”
Barbara Bates added: “Things are moving pretty fast here at Hotwire and adding John Mahoney as CCO is a real commitment from us to doing things differently. We want and need talent that will challenge us and our clients to achieve more, and today’s announcements show the confidence we have in our growth plans as well as our ability to step outside of the usual agency comfort zones.”
