Months after Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux announced their split, sources claim that the 49-year-old actress is happy and busy with work. She also appears to be doing well in terms of moving on from her estranged husband.
An insider close to Aniston recently told PEOPLE that the actress enjoyed her time in Europe even though most of it was spent filming for her upcoming Netflix movie, “Murder Mystery.” Aniston co-stars with Adam Sandler, who plays the role of her NYPD cop husband fulfilling his promise to bring her on a European tour.
“She has been working long days but loves being in Europe. She has had friends with her including Chris [McMillan],” the source said. While a large part of her summer was spent working, the same source claimed that Aniston was “having a great” time and was not worried about dating.
Before she went to Europe to film with Sandler, Jennifer Aniston and Theroux announced their separation in February. In a statement via Just Jared, the estranged couple said the “decision was mutual” and was reached “at the end of last year.”
Aniston and Theroux were together for seven years, spending the last two as a married couple. While they have ended their relationship as husband and wife, Aniston and Theroux told fans that they were looking forward to still be friends.
In the same statement announcing their separation, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux reiterated that any follow-up story about their split that did not come from them “is someone else’s fictional narrative.” However, that did not stop tabloids from running stories about them, especially Aniston.
There were claims that they are fighting over money while finalizing their divorce. But Gossip Cop clarified in August that neither Aniston nor Theroux has actually filed for divorce yet.
Jennifer Aniston was also inundated with claims that she is bitter about her split from Justin Theroux, prompting her to have hundreds of thousands worth of “revenge makeover.” But the actress has set the record straight with InStyle magazine and said, “I’m not heartbroken. … Those are reckless assumptions. No one knows what’s going on behind closed doors.
