Fans of the show may be excited about “Jane the Virgin” season 5 bringing back all the confusion and heartaches that the Jane-Michael-Rafael (Gina Rodriguez, Brett Dier, Justin Baldoni) love triangle will bring, but it seems that Sin Rostro (Bridget Regan) is still lurking behind the curtains. Rose may still be in prison but, as the show's diabolical Sin Rostro, she still finds a way to execute her schemes.
In “Jane the Virgin” season 5, Sin Rostro's influence will be represented by “13 Reasons Why” actor Tommy Dorfman. In a report by The Wrap, Dorfman will reportedly play a character named Bobby, who is known as “a chameleon and associate” of Sin Rostro. Dorfman's character will apparently be in Miami on a mission provided to him by Rose herself.
Beyond the confirmation of Dorfman's casting, no details have yet to be shared regarding the new “Jane the Virgin” season 5 character. Fans can speculate whether Bobby being described as a chameleon means he is a master of disguise and deception, or he has a deeper connection to the illegal plastic surgery business that Sin Rostro has been running under the Solanos' noses.
Considering that “Jane the Virgin” season 5 will be opening with one of the most controversial moments of the show leaving fans asking questions in the previous season's finale, fans may wonder if Sin Rostro's newest henchman will be connected to Michael's recent return from the dead. If so, fans can speculate that Bobby may potentially be sent out to silence Michael considering his involvement in the investigations against Sin Rostro.
Fans looking forward to how Sin Rostro and her new henchman Bobby will fit in the show's final season may have to sit tight. With the show still currently in production, The CW has yet to announce an exact season premiere date for “Jane the Virgin” season 5. Hopefully, fans can get back to watching “Jane the Virgin” season 5 sometime in 2019.
