Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have once again been declared engaged by tabloids due to recent sightings of the “Dawson's Creek” alum wearing a diamond ring. Of course, given both the celebrities’ sentiments regarding their relationship, it was clear that the claims are nothing more than just tabloids jumping to conclusion.
After the stories began circulating on the web again, representatives of Katie Holmes came forward and revealed that the ring is simply a movie prop, Entertainment Tonight reported. The film in question is “The Secret,” an adaptation of the controversial book claiming that humans can control the universe with their minds. While the book had its fair share of criticism when it was released, the noise only boosted the popularity of the work that led to the sale of 30 million copies. Meanwhile, Jamie Foxx is also shooting his current project, “Just Mercy.”
The movie revolves around the case of Walter McMillian (Jamie Foxx), who has been accused of a crime that he didn’t commit. Starring with Foxx is Michael B. Jordan, who plays civil rights defense attorney Bryan Stevenson. While both Foxx and Katie Holmes are busy with their own professional lives, the two still manage to find time to see each other.
And even though they’ve been dating since 2013, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have time and again refused to acknowledge that they’re a couple. The pair is also quite secretive with their romance as they’re rarely seen out together in public.
However, recent months saw that their reservation is gradually waning as the duo has been seen multiple times out in the open and having a bit of PDA. One such occasion was when Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx were spotted being romantic with each other during their date in Malibu. While this was quite the treat for the couple’s fans and paparazzi alike, the pair has since laid low again.
As for when they’re going to get married, there’s still no development in this area as Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx seem content with what they currently have. Indeed, this unorthodox style of dating appears to be working for them, judging by how long they’ve been seeing each other. Fans of the “Batman Begins” actress are hoping that Foxx will finally be the guy to give her the love she deserves as she went through quite the ordeal when she was married to Tom Cruise.
