Pop Princess Taylor Swift has taken to Twitter to express her elation over the cover of her 2017 hit song "Look What You Made Me Do" on the latest episode of the British television series "Killing Eve."
Swift tweeted, "VERY STOKED about this cover of lwymmd on @KillingEve by Jack leopards & the dolphin club!!"
The cover was performed by the band called "Jack Leopards & The Dolphin Club" and was played over the credits of the BBC hit series.
Swift's fans, however, are seeing more into their idol's praise, and they have taken to the internet to put out their theories.
They all believed that Swift may have had a bigger role in the cover track. While there is nothing unusual in Swift being credited as one of the writers of the original song, what rings a bell are the names of the producers of the cover.
The producers are Jack Antonoff and Nils Sjöberg. Antonoff regularly collaborates with Swift while Nils Sjöberg was the pseudonym that Swift used when she co-wrote "This Is What You Came For," a track of her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris with Rihanna.
What's more, the song "Look What You Made Me Do" is one of Swift's master recordings whose rights are now owned by Scooter Braun after he bought Swift's former label Big Machine reportedly for $300 million in June of 2019.
Swift made no secret about how furious she was over the deal claiming that she was not informed about Braun buying Big Machine and that she was denied the chance to own her music. She even included it in her speech when she accepted her Woman of the Decade award at the Billboard Women in Music Awards.
Since the sale went down, Swift has continued to speak of her displeasure of it. She had been vocal in saying that she refused to sign another contract with Big Machine because she knew that Scott Borchetta, who founded the label, would sell it, and with it, her future.
It remains to be seen if there is more to Swift being stoked over the cover but with Swift being Swift, it would eventually come out.
