ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Aug. 30, 2017 -- Innospec Inc. (Nasdaq:IOSP) today announced that it has received approval for its ECOCLEAN® 4200 detergent as a TOP TIER™ diesel additive.
Innospec’s ECOCLEAN® product line was the first to be introduced to the US market in 2006, to address the unique issues associated with the combination of modern high pressure common rail diesel engines, and the challenges of ultra-low sulfur diesel. The product line is already successfully used in the treatment of billions of gallons of diesel each year.
Jim Vrzak, Vice-President of Innospec Fuel Specialties said, “The TOP TIER Diesel Standard has been developed by a group of Original Equipment Manufacturers in close co-ordination with the CQA (Center for Quality Assurance). These standards are intended to improve diesel fuel performance, quality and cleanliness. Ultimately, this helps boost performance, reduce emissions and downtime, and improve efficiency. ”
Patrick S. Williams, President and Chief Executive Officer said, “Development of new technology to meet industry and customers’ needs has always been at the core of Innospec’s strategy. I am pleased that the quality of our products is being recognized by the industry, and we look forward to continuing to work with our customers to identify future needs and continually advance the technology.”
