‘Inhumans’ season 1 is set to feature the massive bulldog, Lockjaw. The latest leaked clip showed Lockjaw in action as he teleported to a busy city with Inhuman Royal Family member Black Bolt. Meanwhile, the season finale’s director has been revealed as the final episode filmed in Hawaii.
According to Screen Rant, the latest promotional clip for the highly anticipated ABC television series based on the Marvel comic book race of the same name was recently released and it featured a rare glimpse of the fictional Inhuman bulldog, Lockjaw, springing into action.
The short three-second clip showed Lockjaw’s teleportation powers as he materializes in the middle of a busy city street together with Black Bolt (Anson Mount). ABC and Marvel previously released a promotional photograph of the television-adapted characters but it didn’t feature the Inhuman Royal Family’s canine companion.
According to CBR.com, Lockjaw was first featured in Fantastic Four issue number 45, which was released in December 1965. He was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby. He resembles a gargantuan bulldog and serves as a teleporter and escort for the Royal Family of Inhumans.
The character has the powers of super-canine strength in his jaw and is capable of chewing and swallowing inorganic material. He can also teleport himself as well as nearby creatures anywhere he pleases and can open passages between dimensions and energy fields that seem impenetrable to others.
Meanwhile, the season’s finale episode’s director has recently been unveiled. According to Comicbook.com, ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ veteran director Billy Gierhart has been credited as the director for the series’ finale in a recent Instagram post, which will be directed in Hawaii.
Gierhart himself took to the social media and photo-sharing app to share a photograph of his wife amidst a backdrop of a tropical sunset. It was captioned, “Staying at Disney's Aulani Resort while filming the Season Finale of Marvel's Inhumans in Hawaii had some incredible advantages. This was taken on a day during prep when we finished early enough to get back to Aulani for the sunset. My wife, stretching out against the beautiful Hawaiian sky.”
‘Inhumans’ is an upcoming superhero television series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television. It stars Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Ken Leung as Karnak, Iwan Rheon as Maximus, Sonya Balmores as Auran, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, and Mike Moh as Triton. It is set to debut in IMAX screens on September 1, 2017 and run for two whole weeks before premiering on ABC on September 22.
