Indian retail chain giant Future Group partners with blockchain startup Nucleus Vision

Indian retail chain giant Future Group has partnered with blockchain startup Nucleus Vision with the objective of leveraging cutting-edge technologies to gain unprecedented customer insight.

Future Group is biggest offline retail chains in India and owns some of the most recognizable Indian FMCG and offline retail brands like Big Bazaar, Nilgiris, Hyper City, Brand Factory, and Central among others.

“The technology that Nucleus Vision is offering helps us enhance the customer experience we can deliver inside the store. It adds a layer of personalization by allowing us to customize offers, promotions, and prices to each consumer that walks into our stores. A platform like this will unify the online and offline customer experience and we’re very happy to partner with Nucleus Vision in this regard,” Vivek Biyani, the Future Group’s CTO, said.

Founded in 2014, Nucleus Vision is an IoT and blockchain based contactless identification system. The company is backed by prominent blockchain-focused investment firms including Alphabit Digital Currency Fund, FBG Capital, Kenetic Capital, Turiya Ventures, and BlockAsset.

Commenting on the collaboration with the Future Group, Nucleus Vision’s CEO Abhishek Pitti said:

“Anyone in the global retail industry knows of the Future Group. The brands they own and their traction in the Indian subcontinent are tremendous. For such a retail behemoth to trust our product and vision is a testament to the efforts we have put into Nucleus Vision over the past few years, and we look forward to helping all Future Group companies know their shoppers better.”

Nucleus Vision is going to co-host the world’s largest blockchain conference, the International Blockchain Congress, in August. It will feature leaders from industry and government and will aim to take the Indian blockchain ecosystem forward.
