More news arrives about the “Hunter x Hunter” series in recent weeks. Unfortunately, updates about the manga series return and release date of “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391 remains elusive. More than seven months since the current hiatus started, manga fans are still left in the dark.
New ‘Hunter x Hunter’ toys to launch in 2019
While the manga is on an indefinite break and the release date of “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391 is still a puzzle, there are updates on other aspects of the franchise. For one, it was recently announced that a new set of action figures would be released this week at the Anime Expo on July 4-7 in Los Angeles, California.

United States-based company Espada Art is officially licensed to manufacture statues and figures based on popular Japanese anime series. Last week, Espada Art unveiled the first look on the all-new Gon and Killua figures that will be launched at the Anime Expo. This is welcome news for fans of the franchise who loves collecting action figures. On the other hand, it is the only latest update about the series so speculating about “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391’s release date and its plot is still on.
‘Hunter x Hunter’ chapter 391: Will it arrive this year?
The manga series no longer follows a solid schedule. Fans can check this very detailed hiatus chart of the manga series to see how the release date of the next chapters is highly unpredictable. So the truth for now is, there is no assurance that “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391 will be released in 2019.
Meanwhile, fans can hold on to what series creator Yoshihiro Togashi said last November before the hiatus started. He promised that at least ten new chapters, including “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391, already have storyboards at the time. That means he is continuously working on the series amid his health issues. The only downside is there is no telling just how long he will need to release new batches of manga chapters.
Since 2006, it can be observed that Togashi has preferred to end a hiatus once he has several chapters ready, but that also meant longer breaks were experienced throughout the years. It is then very likely that “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391 will arrive when all the previously mentioned ten chapters are ready to be published.
