In a bold move, Huawei is set to launch its revolutionary tri-fold smartphone on September 10, just one day after Apple unveils its highly anticipated iPhone 16, escalating the tech rivalry.
Huawei Takes On Apple with Tri-Fold
In response to Apple's iPhone 16 debut on September 10, Huawei unveiled the first-ever tri-fold smartphone the next day.
This is a brilliant move on the part of the former Chinese behemoth, who may have sought to divert attention away from the iPhone 16 and onto its own product. This would make sense considering Apple's predicament in China prior to the rollout of a discount campaign that included several iPhone 15 models.
In the previous image featuring the tri-fold smartphone, an ex-Huawei executive was shown carrying a gadget with three incredibly thin panels and a large hump on the back for the camera.
Leaked Images Show Design Clues
The alleged leaked photographs offered us a clue as to the next handset's design factor, but the teaser almost gives us all the details we need to know.
According to WCCFTECH, the tri-fold smartphone has three displays and two hinges that lie between them to make a 'Z' shape; this information was originally shared on Weibo.
Huawei Keeps Details Under Wraps
Everything we know about this hardware comes from a deluge of unsubstantiated reports because Huawei has been extremely tight-lipped about it.
The most recent report said that the business was still trying to reduce the prototype's cost, suggesting that the tri-fold smartphone would enter mass production at a later date.
Mass Production Not Expected Soon
Mass production might not occur until next year if the smartphone's distinctive and intricate design necessitates additional revisions.
