Ahead of the game's debut next week, a new trailer for the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive RPG game “Horizon Zero Dawn” showed fascinating features. Gamespot said the video was about the making of the game from the viewpoint of the developers from Guerrilla Games. Aside from the creative process that went into developing the game, the video also showcased the developers making strides in RPG game-making, including facial animation and no loading screens.
“Horizon Zero Dawn” has been praised by critics due to its very compelling storyline, outfit mods, side quests, and mostly about the graphics. Like in every other RPG video game, you only got it right if your graphics complement your story.
Sikandar Mahmood said in his review on SegmentNext, “”Horizon Zero Dawn” as of now is the best looking PlayStation 4 game. Its beauty is only enhanced to a new level if you are using the PlayStation 4 Pro. From the lush green forest to the snowy mountains, Zero Dawn’s graphics and art will often leave you in awe.”
Rachel Weber for Rolling Stone likened the graphics to “Avatar,” and wrote, “”Horizon: Zero Dawn” benefits from rocking the latest in PlayStation 4 Pro's visual tech, playable in dazzling 4K if you have a PlayStation Pro console and the right TV – and its visual design feels just a JetBlue flight away from Avatar's super-saturated Pandora. There's lush Alpine lowlands, desert lands the color of caramel and bright snowy peaks. That backdrop is brought to life by the wildlife that inhabits it too, foxes, turkeys and a whole heap of giant robotic dinosaurs, most of which want to kill you.”
Loading screens are almost an acceptable inconvenience in most video games. This is because it gives the system a chance to boot up a chosen active or side conquest. Games like “Call of Duty” instead use loading screens to educate players about the next level. But for a video game like “Horizon Zero Dawn” that relies heavily on meticulous and very detailed graphics to engage its players, no loading screens is considered an advancement.
