There were 31 HondaJet units sold in 2020 to mark the fourth year of being the best-selling small business aircraft in the world.
Among the HondaJets' attributes were its high performance, spacious cabin, and fuel economy.
According to Honda Aircraft Co. President and CEO Michimasa Fujino, while the COVID-19 pandemic led to a decline in overall business jet deliveries from previous years, there was also a shift to more sustainable modes of transportation," said in a statement.
He noted that deliveries of the HondaJet quickly recovered to pre-COVID levels by the end of" 2020.
There are over 170 HondaJets currently in operation worldwide since the aircraft's first delivery in 2015. Last year, Honda Aircraft Co. obtained certifications required for flight operations in Russia and Pakistan.
Among Honda Aircraft Co.'s clients are Japanese trading house Marubeni Corp., which offers charter services using HondaJets for general customers in Japan. Marubeni charges between 500,000 yen ($4,700) and 600,000 yen per hour, for up to five passengers.
