"Hawaii Five-0” Season 9 has been slated for release on Sept. 28, and fans of the show are excited for what’s in store for the show's beloved characters. It has already been reported that lead stars Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) and Daniel Williams (Scott Caan) are returning despite the former’s contract expiring soon.

Regarding the show's 200th episode, a fan asked via Twitter if Daniel Williams will be involved in the show’s milestone, to which showrunner Peter M. Lenkov replied that he will be included. Lenkov told TV Line that the 200th episode will have something to do with the soft opening of McDanno’s restaurant.

The soft opening is supposed to be “a big turning point with regards to their future and the restaurant.” What’s more, Lenkov also gave a hint about what fans should expect in the “Hawaii Five-0” Season 9 midseason finale.

The showrunner revealed that they’re taking a page from what “The Expendables” has done. This means that the “Hawaii Five-0” Season 9 midseason finale will be seeing previous characters returning to help with a major plotline.

Econotimes previously reported that Alex O’Loughlin is slated to direct an episode of “Hawaii Five-0” Season 9. Whether this episode is going to be the 200th has yet been disclosed, but it’s safe to assume that O’Loughlin will be heavily involved in it.

An actor taking on multiple roles is almost always good news for a show as it indicates their commitment to the success of the series. “Hawaii Five-0” Season 9 will certainly be filled with a lot of the solid police procedural storyline, straight-up action-filled episodes, and character-centered drama.

Previous ratings of the show have been good for its mother network as it is averaging a concrete 7 out of 10 rating, with its eighth season having had 11 million viewers. “Hawaii Five-0” Season 9 is slated to have 22 episodes, which is great news for the fans who have been thirsting for a McGarrett and Williams team-up.
