Junior Reigns, portrayed by Beulah Koale, seems to have made the cut to become a series regular that fans have come to accept and expect when "Hawaii Five-0" Season 9 comes rolling into town.
The departure of Grace Park and Daniel Dae Kim prior to the airing of "Hawaii Five-0" Season 8 forced the show to introduce new cast members as soon as possible. Koale's Junior Reigns is just one of the new interesting season 8 characters that we hope to see more of in "Hawaii Five-0" Season 9
Reigns is an ex-Navy Seal who finds himself back stateside without a job or prospects. He gets introduced in the series in the second episode of "Hawaii Five-0" Season 8, "Dog Days."
In his introduction, Junior was shown asking Steve for a job. He was told by Steve to finish the academy training course before he would consider him to be part of the Five-0. Throughout the course of the season, Reigns ended up working undercover with Tani Rey in the Lawrence Academy bust, the end of which solidified his role as a main cast member of the series as well as a part of the Five-0 team.
Reigns's one-season appearance showed us that this ex-Navy Seal has a deep and dramatic past with his conflicted relationship with his parents due to his enlistment, and the death of his sister, Maya. In addition, he performed admirably well with his partner, Tani Rey, and the latter part of the season showed a potential budding romance between the two.
Beyond his relationship with Tani Rey being teased, what can we possibly expect from Junior Reigns in “Hawaii Five-0” season 9? Aside from what seems to be the series rushing into creating a stable relationship between two of their new cast members, we look forward to how Junior Reigns's relationship with his father will continue to develop itself in a more immediate form in season 9. Will this also affect Reigns and Rey's relationship? How about Reigns's pregnant ex-girlfriend, Kayla?
“Hawaii Five-0” season 9 has yet to have an official airing date for its first episode for 2018, but expect the renewed series to start airing by September.
