It would seem that not a day goes by without a Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton story about the celebrity couple getting engaged, having another baby, or getting engaged because they are having a baby. In a recent development, however, it is insinuated that the country singer is getting ganged up on by the girlfriend’s family. Specifically, the story involves how the No Doubt singer’s parents are supportive of their marriage.
The offending Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton story this time is again courtesy of OK!, with the repeatedly-disproven outlet even citing a source to back up its claims, Gossip Cop reports. The magazine is basically saying that the songstress’ parents have already given their blessing to the country singer to marry their daughter. This should add pressure that isn’t needed.
“Dennis loves the fact that Blake is a real man’s man who hunts, fishes and lives on a ranch where he does a lot of his own work. They think their daughter and Blake make a great couple,” the supposed source reportedly said.
That particular statement is only wrong in terms of where it came from. It’s well-known that the country superstar is close to his girlfriend’s parents, as evidenced by the many times they have spent time over their house. However, the source of the statement itself is wrong and is why this Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton story is questionable.
It isn’t yet known if the parents really did give their blessing, but it would not be a surprise, either. However, before this happens, an actual proposal has to take place and based on the many denials from the Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton representatives, this has yet to happen.
Future events could conspire to allow a Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton wedding to take place with the blessings of all relevant parties provided. Until then, such stories are nothing but gossip.
