Gwen Stefani is currently undergoing a period of instability in her life as her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale, is trying to renegotiate his position in his children’s custody. And as the singer’s partner, Blake Shelton is caught up in this narrative as well. Kingston, 12, Zuma, 10, and Apollo, 4 are all underage and still aren’t considered mature enough to make decisions for themselves.
As such, the court still holds sway on how the children are going to see their divorced parents. Gwen Stefani has enjoyed most of the custody agreement so far because Gavin Rossdale has been busy with his career obligations. But now that those obligations have been fulfilled, the Bush frontman is trying to involve himself more in the lives of his three kids. As for Blake Shelton, he is supposedly staying away from the conflict as he understands that he has no voice on the matter, Celebrity Insider reported.
While further development on this story has yet to surface, it’s safe to say that Gwen Stefani is willing to provide some room for Gavin Rossdale as doing the opposite is going to be detrimental on her part. It can be recalled that a court judge warned Angelina Jolie to give Brad Pitt time with his kids, otherwise the actress would lose primary custody of her children. A similar warning could be levied on Blake Shelton’s partner if she doesn’t yield some ground for Rossdale.
However, it seems that Gwen Stefani is currently refusing to agree to any renegotiations as the “Hollaback Girl” singer feels Gavin Rossdale’s rockstar lifestyle will be pernicious to the children. The singer added that she’s doing a great job of providing the kids with a “consistent living environment.” For his part, Blake Shelton is currently acting as the anchor for Gwen as she goes through this challenge.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been together for three years and their relationship is as solid as ever. But that bond is about to be tested with this storm that recently entered their lives. Hopefully, all parties can settle things in an amicable manner before it devolves into what Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are currently going through.
